Last Raps Baseball Corp. is pleased to announce the formation of it’s first fall baseball league. The University of British Columbia will be the home field for all league games. and with an all weather field, there will be no rain outs! This page will be updated frequently with more details. The league is tentatively scheduled to begin Friday September 10, 2010. All attempts will be made to play league games Friday’s to Monday. See below for more information.
Eligibility: The age range is as follows. The youngest players are those who are 12 years old graduating from Little League and those who will become first year Pee Wee players in BC Minor in 2011. The oldest player will be 15 years old, and cannot turn 16 before October 31, 2010.
Teams: Our goal is to have 8 teams in the league with 14 players per team. Individuals are welcome to register, but we are also encouraging local organizations to put a team together.
Cost: The individual cost to register is $250 plus tax per player. Team registrations would be provided at a discount. Teams who register in advance will receive consideration for their scheduling. We recognize that some teams may have entered into a fall tournaments, and we can work with them in advance to adjust their schedule accordingly.
Number of Games: The number of scheduled games will be 10 regular season games which will consist of two four team divisions. The schedule is weighted. The playoffs are a single elimination knockout tournament elimination.
Hitting Cage: As part of the registration package, each team will receive 3 hours of hitting cage time for their team. Once the schedule is completed, teams will then get to choose their desired time slots. Teams that register first, will be given priority.
Uniforms: If an organization chooses to register a team, those teams are expected to provide their players matching uniform tops with a number for entire team. Teams who are made up of individual registrations, will receive a uniform top.
Baseballs: All baseballs for the league games are provided by Last Raps Baseball Corp.
Umpires: Umpires are provided by Last Raps Baseball Corp. All umpiring costs are covered by Last Raps Baseball Corp.
