For the camp, players are required to bring their own helmet, bat, glove, batting gloves and spikes. Lunch will be provided to all campers at this event. Lunch is to include one 6” inch Sub sandwich, sport drink, fruit and chips.

Beginning Saturday September 11, 2010, Last Raps Baseball Corp. we will be offering an 8 week hitting clinic. The clinics will end on Saturday October 30, 2010.

For the hitting clinic, players are required to bring their own helmet, bat, batting gloves and spikes. If the opportunity presents itself, we will take those participating outside. Clothing for both indoor and outdoor activity should be worn. The facility has a turf floor and spikes or turf shoes are acceptable.

The UBC Men’s Baseball program has used Dartfish for three years and the results have helped improve the fundamental mechanics of the players. McKaig believes that, “The most important part of player development is utilizing video analysis. We have highly trained coaches and players here at UBC, but baseball is a sport where picking up mechanical flaws in hitting, throwing, and pitching can only properly be done through video. The naked eye does not work well or quick enough to pick up these flaws properly. I highly recommend video analysis for players of all ages as fixing bad habits as quick as possible is how players really improve. Players that get to see this with their own eyes versus hearing it from coaches is a player who will want to change. This is critical to becoming a better baseball player.”
